S.C.R.A.M. - Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring
The S.C.R.A.M. monitor is placed around your ankle for the period of time you are ordered to be on it, The device takes sweat samples throughout the day to ensure there is no alcohol consumption.
S.C.R.A.M. saves up to 50 samples but the information needs to be downloaded to the SCRAM Base station once daily.
At the time of installation you will be issued your own SCRAM bracelet and base station. You will also be shown how to care for the bracelet, and do your downloads correctly.
Please ensure you have either an Analog phone line, or an Internet modem. You will be provided the Analog phone cord/Ethernet cord for the base station but it is your duty to have either Home phone service or Internet to do you downloads.
The SCRAM fees are on the contract, and they will also be discussed at the San Antonio Recovery Healthcare office.
